Welcome to Sturgeon Heights School Fundraising Association (SHSFA)
The Sturgeon Heights School Fundraising Association (SHSFA) was formed in 1976 (as the Sturgeon Heights Recreational Facilities Association) and continues to successfully operate as a result of the hard work of many parent volunteers. The SHSFA is a non-profit association that is responsible for much of the school’s fundraising, and its main objectives are:

The success of any organization depends largely on its volunteer base and we encourage and welcome parents that may wish to Volunteer in the snack shop or at one of our events throughout the year.
Every parent is automatically a member of the Parent Fundraising Association. The SHSFA invites parents to become involved in our monthly meetings. Dates are posted on the School Calendar.
Along with fundraising, the SHSFA has many functions including; advocacy, parent communication, social and extracurricular events and supporting the school through various volunteer opportunities.
Ongoing fundraising opportunities that are happening throughout the year are listed on this website. Please have a quick look to see how they benefit you and the school.
- to help supply and maintain recreational equipment for the school; and
- to organize and facilitate programs or events which promote recreational activity within the school and community.
The SHSFA receives funds through various avenues such as:
- providing regular Hot Lunches to students and staff, which include special food days (Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, etc.) and various other hot lunches from St. Albert restaurants;
- offering various Fundraising Initiatives throughout the year (ex. Purdy's Chocolates, Online Auctions)
- applying for government grants that may be available from time to time.

SHFA MeetingsAll SHSFA meetings are held after the School Council meetings either in the SHS Library as well as virtually.
